Since June 2018, Susan Brooks has been serving as the DT Campus Principal at First Baptist School. She began her teaching career at First Baptist School in 2007, before moving to New Orleans, LA, after her marriage, where she taught for two years in independent schools. Upon returning to her hometown of Charleston, she spent four years as the Intermediate School math teacher at Mason Preparatory School. Mrs. Brooks has experience teaching across multiple grade levels, from 1st to 8th grade. She earned her undergraduate degree from the College of Charleston and a Master of Arts in Teaching from The Citadel. Additionally, Mrs. Brooks boasts a rich background in coaching volleyball, basketball, and softball. She is committed to providing a well-rounded Christian education for all students at FBS.
