Marshelle Grant
Assistant High School Principal
Ms. Marshelle L. Grant became a valued member of the First Baptist School Community in 2023, taking on the role of Assistant Principal. With nearly 25 years of experience in education, she has worked with students at both postsecondary and secondary levels. Ms. Grant's expertise spans diverse areas including human resources, large budget management, facility management, staff development and training, and classroom instruction. During her tenure as Manager of Recruitment and Diversity Education at the Medical University of South Carolina, she broadened her focus to include student life and programming, as well as student recruitment and college and career advising. She has also served the Charleston County School District as a College Access Coordinator for the GEAR UP Program and as the Director of Admissions for the American College of the Building Arts. Most recently, Ms. Grant held the position of Program Coordinator for Trident Technical College’s Dual Enrollment Program, the largest of its kind in South Carolina, which serves over 2,000 students in the tri-county area.
An alumna of Winthrop University, Ms. Grant earned her bachelor's degree in history and her Master’s degree in the Art of Education from the Citadel. She also holds a Certificate in Theology from Allen University and is an ordained Reverend in the African Methodist Episcopal Church.
