Dr. Leonard Kupersmith holds a BA in English from Brooklyn College and a PhD in English from Kansas State University. He served as an English teacher and head of school at Wichita Collegiate from 1974 to 1991. In 1992, he founded the Thomas Jefferson Independent Day School in Joplin, MO, where he served until 2006. He was Associate Head of School at Christ Church Episcopal School from 2006 to 2008 and then became Head of School, holding the position from 2008 to 2020. Dr. Kupersmith was the high school principal at FBS from 2021 to 2024 and is currently the Director of Advancement.
