Our First Baptist School performance ensembles, consisting of band, choir, and dance, have unique challenges to navigate as this pandemic stretches into another school year. Over the summer, our directors have been working under the guidance of various music and dance professional organizations to brainstorm creative and safe solutions to many of these obstacles. We want to share a brief outline of our plans to continue serving and challenging our students in the performing arts this year.
Our overall goal is to increase each students’ individual abilities, while also safely sustaining our school’s performing arts programs throughout this unprecedented time. Please explore this brief summary of our Performing Arts Pandemic Plans and reach out to the specific program directors with any questions. While the performing arts all around the world look a little different this year, the programs still require funding and resources, especially if we want them to flourish on the other side of this pandemic. Thank you in advance for your continued support of the performing arts programs at First Baptist School.

*Please note, our Art and Photography programs are continuing this year, as well. However, they are not specifically addressed below, as the purpose of this document is to explain the plans for our performance ensembles.
