Greetings, First Baptist Community!
As we enter the month of February, a season often associated with love and appreciation, I am reminded of the words from 1 Corinthians 16:14: "Let all that you do be done in love." This verse perfectly embodies the spirit of our school community—a place where faith, education, and character development come together in an atmosphere of support and encouragement.
I hope your family enjoyed the recent snow, a rare treat for us in the Lowcountry. On January 31st, we held a 4th-12th grade pep rally event on James Island, followed by four exciting basketball games and a time for alumni to reconnect. On February 1st, we inducted the 2025 Class of the First Baptist Athletic Hall of Fame. We celebrate those who have left a lasting impact on our school and community. Please join me in congratulating our inductees:
Sara Kraft
Logan Kraft-Byrd
Lucas Langston
Lindsay Moore
Sara Stansell O-Brien
Jordan Randolph

Please mark your calendars for Winter Break, February 5th-7th. We hope you enjoy this time to rest and recharge. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday, February 10th.
On February 5th, we will have an E-Learning Day as First Baptist Church welcomes the International Mission Board Trustees and Commissioning Service to our Downtown Campus. This event has been years in the making, and we are delighted to host such a meaningful gathering. This day will be an asynchronous learning day, allowing students to complete assignments remotely. Additionally, faculty and staff from both campuses will participate in professional development opportunities on the James Island Campus that same day.
We have several upcoming events in February including our Blizzard Bash 5K & Fun Run – on February 8th, our Boots and Bows Winter Dance on February 22nd (our annual Winter Dance featuring dads and special friends), and our Boosterthon Kickoff on February 20th. Stay tuned for more details!
As we move swiftly into the second semester, I encourage our students and families to stay engaged, continue striving for excellence, and always approach each day with kindness and perseverance. Let us continue to support one another and embrace the spirit of love that defines our school community.
We invite you to stay up-to-date with current events by following First Baptist School’s social media and our school webpage. #WeAreFB
Be Blessed!
