Greetings, First Baptist Community!

As we enter into December, our hearts and minds turn toward the season of Advent—a time of anticipation and preparation. The words of the prophet Isaiah remind us of the hope we celebrate: "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace" (Isaiah 9:6). Advent is a season where we reflect on God's faithfulness and the promise of new beginnings brought to life in the birth of Christ.

Here at First Baptist School, Advent is more than a countdown to Christmas. It’s a season where we nurture our students’ understanding of Christ’s love and their calling to reflect His light in the world. Classrooms are alive with Scripture, songs, and service projects, all pointing us to the true meaning of the season.

This time of year is always busy but I will encourage you to make the time to join us for a cherished tradition at our school, the annual Lessons and Carols Service, on Friday, December 15th, at 6:30 pm in the First Baptist Church Sanctuary. This evening of Scripture and song brings our community together to celebrate the story of Christ's birth. From the voices and talents of our students to the message of hope woven through the evening, it is sure to be a heartwarming experience. Please mark your calendars and invite your friends and family to join us for this special event.

As we approach the close of this year, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for each of you. Whether you are a student, parent, teacher, or supporter, you are an integral part of what makes First Baptist School such a vibrant and faithful community. Your prayers, partnership, and dedication to Christian education allow us to continue the work God has called us to do.

May your Christmas season be filled with warmth and joy as you celebrate the greatest gift of all—the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. As we welcome the New Year, let us continue to carry the light of Christ into every corner of our lives.

We invite you to stay up-to-date with current events by following First Baptist School’s social media and our school webpage. #WeAreFB

Wishing you a blessed Advent and a joyful Christmas!
