Thank you for considering First Baptist School of Charleston for your child’s education. We are delighted to share with you why our school has stood the test of time for over 70 years. Our school’s mission statement is “Academic excellence with a Christian perspective.” We aim to provide a rich and rigorous educational experience for each student while presenting the content through a Christian lens.

In addition to academic excellence with a Christian perspective, we also seek to provide a holistic approach to education ensuring that our students are well-rounded through service, the fine arts, athletics, and many other extracurricular activities. We believe that another secret to our success is our commitment to small class sizes to ensure that each student receives the time and attention he or she deserves.

God has blessed us with two campuses, Downtown, and James Island. Our K2-8th graders are based at our Downtown campus and are fully immersed in the history, culture, and heritage of historic Charleston. We concluded construction of a new state of the art educational building for our downtown campus this past summer. Our 9-12th graders are based at our James Island campus in a cutting-edge educational building and athletic complex.
